Oral presentations

You are invited to submit abstracts for symposia, oral presentations or interactive poster presentations. The abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Accepted abstracts will be published online on the Congress website www.itc2012ams.com and in the Final Program.

The publication of each abstract is conditional upon payment of the registration fee. As submitted abstracts will not be edited, applicants must ensure that their abstracts are thoroughly edited and do not contain any typographic and grammatical errors. Authors are requested to conform to the following guidelines for submission of abstracts:

  • The abstracts are to be submitted in English.
  • The abstract submission constitutes a formal commitment by the author/s to present the corresponding presentation in the session and timeslot assigned by the Scientific Committee.
  • Changes in authorship should be communicated in time to the Scientific Committee so that the necessary amendments can be made to the printed program.
  • If the original presenting author is unable to present, one of the co-authors should take over this responsibility.

Kindly register your abstract/s via the online registration system. Notification of acceptance by the Scientific Committee will be emailed to the presenting author. Information concerning time allotment, date, time, and venue will be duly sent to registered presenting authors.

Individual oral presentations must report on the empirical findings of a theoretically driven research project, which can include critically evaluating the empirical findings of others in the form of a meta-analysis or critical review. It is expected from the presenters to allocate time equally between a theoretically driven introduction, methodology and results, and discussion/conclusion.

Individual oral presentation submissions should include an abstract (200 words) summarizing the purpose, method, results and discussion of the study.

For each presentation will take 20 minutes (15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Questions & Answers).

Submitted individual oral presentations which are accepted by the Scientific Committee will be grouped by category topics into thematic sessions, in order to promote communication among the presenters and participants and to facilitate discussion.

As the distinction between individual oral presentations and individual poster presentations is only a matter of presentation mode, submissions in both categories will be assessed by the same scientific criteria. The Scientific Committee will determine the final mode of presentation.

Please note: An author cannot submit more than 3 abstracts as the presenting author of any oral presentation, be it in the form of an oral presentation as part of a symposium or as an individual oral presentation.

Please follow this link for a short presentation of guidelines for the presentation of abstracts.
